Greetings dear Yola.com friends. I am posting this Blog to encourage people who are hurting in our world today. Whether it is do to health, financial, or abuse issues, I want to bring encouragement. Life can and will get better. I am specifically directing this to abused individuals. Maybe you grew up in a home, where you were abused physically, emotionally, sexually, or verbally, there is help at your fingertips. Could you or someone you know, have been raped. I would like to recommend a few books and their authors.
First of all, "Run For Your Life", by Elisabeth Freeman. You can purchase this book at her personal web site, which is: http://atime2heal.org She has other helpful information for troubled teenagers and their parents.
Secondly, "Good Mourning", by Wendy E. Simon. This book is about her life, having grown up in an abusing household. She was abused sexually, physically, emotionally, and verbally. She shares her life story, and how she survived those years. She made many wrong discisions, but she overcame these difficult years through counseling. You may contact her through the publisher of her book.
Thirdly, "Freedom In Christ", and "Freedom From Addiction", by Dr. Neil T. Anderson. He is the founder of Freedom In Christ Miunistries, which is located here in the United States and overseas. In the book, "Freedom From Addiction", you will find how to gain freedom from many addictions; for example, addictive behaviors, pornography of any kind, drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.!
There is a specific scripture I would like to share. It is, John 8:31-36. I would specifically like to draw your attention to verse 32. If we find the truth, being God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, by accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we can be free from our past. We can be free from the abuse we might have experienced in our lives. We can be free or find freedom from any current or past abuse forever.
Maybe you are living in an abusing relationship, marriage, or family. Dear people, "Seek to be free; for freedom is awaiting you!" If this doesn't apply to you personally, maybe you know of an abused child, wife,or neighbor. Are you aware of anyone who has been raped or molested, or they currently live with an alcoholic family member. Are you aware of any current child abuse?
I am directing this posting to encourage anyone, whether you are the abused, or you are the abuser. Seek help for the abused, or seek help for yourself, if you are an abuser. I only want to encourage all hurting people in our world today.
These books and the organization mentioned, are available on the internet. We have such elaborate technology today. There are people, books, and many organizations available. Remember, "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
Help is only a prayer, web site, organization, or telephone call away.
In the book, "Good Mourning", the author lists many helpful organizations and reading materials on all of these abuse subjects. Hopefully, my posting gives you encouragement, after you complete reading it. God bless you, as you take the first step to get help. Having been molested as a young girl, I know a person can break free from their past. Unknown to me, while in my younger married years, there was sexual abuse in my own home, as I was raising my children.
Dear internet friends, do know, "Help for you in this hurting world", is so close at hand? Do take the first step. If you or you know of anyone involved in any type of abuse, please seek help. It is available at your fingertips. Report any knowledge of abuse. God bless each and everyone of you. Do recommend these postings to your friends and family. I thank you. We have an awesome God who loves us.
